Precautions for the application of white latex adhesive
Release Date:2025-05-20 Views:2

The white latex adhesive provided by manufacturers has gradually become an essential material for construction and home decoration. However, did you know that there are many precautions to take during the application of white latex adhesive? Only by paying attention to these points can you ensure the quality of use.

First, before using white latex adhesive, the surface of the material to be bonded needs to be properly treated, including degreasing, rust removal, moisture removal, polishing, and keeping the surface clean and dry. Then, proceed with the gluing process. Generally, non-porous materials can be glued in a single application, while porous materials require 2-3 applications. Only after the solvent from the previous application has completely evaporated can the next application be performed. Do not be too hasty. Additionally, to prevent air from being trapped in the adhesive layer, apply the adhesive with unidirectional strokes to facilitate air release, but be careful not to apply too quickly.

Next is the drying operation. The purpose of drying is to allow the solvent to evaporate completely, increase viscosity, and promote curing. After applying the adhesive, the solvent must be completely evaporated. Do not bond immediately, as this may cause the adhesive layer to become sticky or form bubbles, leading to reduced bonding quality and affecting the performance of the white latex adhesive.
