White latex adhesive is one of the most widely used, largest volume, and longest-standing water-soluble adhesives. White latex adhesive is a water-soluble adhesive, a thermoplastic adhesive polymerized from vinyl acetate monomer under the action of an initiator. It is commonly called white latex or PVAC emulsion. Its chemical name is polyvinyl acetate adhesive, made from vinyl acetate synthesized from acetic acid and ethylene, with the addition of titanium dioxide (or, for lower grades, light calcium carbonate, talc powder, and other powders). The milky white thick liquid is obtained by emulsion polymerization.
