Why does jelly glue experience debonding?
Release Date:2025-05-20 Views:0

The main reasons for jelly glue debonding are as follows:
1. Insufficient viscosity of the jelly glue or insufficient glue application amount;
2. Mismatch between the adhesive and the carton material; the bonded part of the carton has undergone surface treatments such as coating or lighting, making it difficult for the adhesive to penetrate the surface and into the paper, resulting in difficulty bonding the carton firmly;
3. Insufficient pressure after gluing and insufficient pressing time, affecting the bonding effect.

Problem solutions:
1. The higher the viscosity of the jelly glue, the better the carton gluing effect. The gluing roller of an automatic carton gluing machine operates at high speed, 100-120 revolutions per minute. The recommended adhesive viscosity is 500-1000 cps.
2. Jelly glue with strong adhesion can firmly bond cartons even under the low instantaneous pressure and short pressure time during the forming process of an automatic carton gluing machine.
3. If the temperature in the carton gluing workshop is too low, the jelly glue will solidify immediately, affecting the bonding strength. The smaller the amount of glue, the more sensitive it is to temperature. The temperature in the carton gluing workshop should be kept above 20°C. In low-temperature, high-humidity environments, pasted products should be dried at room temperature.
