However, people often tend to confuse viscosity and thickness, as well as viscosity and solid content. For most people, the higher the concentration of the adhesive, the higher the solid content, and they believe it is proportional. In fact, on the contrary, the heavy viscosity of water-based adhesive has no direct relationship with viscosity. Take white latex adhesive for example. Most customers who are not familiar with the industry simply think that the thicker the white latex adhesive, the higher the solid content. Not long ago, a customer requested a high-concentration white latex adhesive, with no requirement for viscosity at all, just that it be thick enough that when poured in a teacup, the glue would hardly flow down. This concentration is high enough, but the solid content is not high at all, only about 28%. Our company has a slightly better white latex adhesive with a solid content of 46%. On the contrary, it is thinner than normal white latex adhesive.

So, saying all this is to tell those customers who need white latex adhesive not to be fooled by illusions and think that high-concentration products are good, while thinner products are all low-solid-content, low-grade products. When purchasing adhesive, you must communicate carefully with the manufacturer, let them recommend something suitable for you with a reasonable price. As long as there are no requirements during operation, the influence of thickness or thinness can be ignored.
