Precautions for using splicing adhesive.
1. Wood control:
1. Moisture content control: below 14%. 2. Keep the splicing surface flat, without wavy surfaces or bending. Twisted surfaces should appear. For easily deformable woods (such as oak, ash, etc.), they must be flattened on the same day; if left overnight, they must be re-flattened. 3. Before splicing, wood ash on the wood surface should be removed.

2. Glue mixing method:
1. When preparing the curing agent, determine the amount of glue to mix based on the size of the gluing equipment. Only use one-third of the container's volume for glue mixing, otherwise it will cause the glue to react and foam over.
2. It is recommended to choose a flat-bottomed round plastic bucket, as this container makes it easy to stir the curing agent evenly.

3. Do not add water or other substances to the glue, as this will cause solidification or a sharp drop in strength.

4. Splicing adhesive mixed with curing agent is generally required to be used within 12 hours (the effect is most significant after it has foamed and been used).

5. Unused curing agent must be strictly sealed and stored, and must not be mixed with water to avoid hardening.

6. Once the mixing ratio of the curing agent is confirmed, it cannot be changed arbitrarily, otherwise it will seriously affect key functions such as bonding strength and water resistance.

3. Glue application amount control:
Users should determine the glue application amount based on the current space temperature and humidity. When the space temperature is low, humidity is high (below 80%), and the wood is hard, apply less glue. When the space temperature is high, humidity is low (below 60%), and the wood is soft, apply more glue.

4. Glue application method:
Due to the relatively high viscosity (thickness) of the glue, when applying glue, it is recommended to use a manual gluing machine, pig bristle brush, or rubber scraper to apply evenly. The glue application amount is generally controlled between 150g-250g/m² (for hard miscellaneous wood: 120g-150g/m²; for soft wood: 120g-250g/m²). After the workpiece is coated with glue, it should be spliced as soon as possible to prevent film formation on the adhesive surface, causing false splicing, which can easily lead to glue line opening.

5. Pressing method and time:
Regardless of the pressing method used, maintain multiple points evenly pressed at 30-50cm intervals. The control of pressing time depends on the temperature and air humidity at the work site. Except for the disc panel splicing machine, which has a pressing time of 30-40 minutes, other pressing methods are normally defined as 2-4 hours (at 25°C with humidity less than 60%). When splicing under high-temperature, low-humidity conditions, the pressing time can be shortened to about one hour. Conversely, it requires 4 hours or longer time.

6. Pressing inspection:
When pressing, pay attention to preventing the wood strips from pulling out (unevenness and large and small ends are prone to occur). If pulling out occurs, release pressure and reset, do not reset under pressure. Check whether there is adhesive overflow at the joint. If there is no adhesive overflow, it indicates insufficient glue application or too long wait time after gluing before pressing. This phenomenon should be corrected immediately. The pressure inspection process cannot be ignored.

7. Conditioning period after pressure release:
To prevent glue line opening, during solid wood splicing or finger jointing, the spliced workpieces should be stacked and conditioned after pressure release. Based on different woods under different climatic conditions, a conditioning period needs to be set to ensure normal use in the next process. We recommend, under low-temperature, high-humidity, and hardwood conditions, a conditioning period of 3-5 days. Under high-temperature, low-humidity, and softwood conditions, a conditioning period of 1-2 days is recommended.

8. Handling of unused residual glue:
Splicing adhesive mixed with curing agent that cannot be used up temporarily must be sealed and stored temporarily, waiting for next use (it must not be exposed to air for a long time to prevent skin drying). This will not affect the splicing quality.
