To address issues such as poor cold resistance, water resistance, and low toughness of white latex adhesive, a modified white latex adhesive can be produced using a semi-continuous emulsion polymerization process with continuous feeding. This modified white latex adhesive does not freeze between -5 and -3°C, and after being soaked in warm water for four days, its low-temperature resistance, water resistance, and toughness are all improved. It corrects some defects of the original white latex adhesive.

In addition, adjusting the pH value of white latex adhesive can also improve its water resistance. Using the method of adding acid, when the pH value of white latex adhesive is reduced to 2-3, its water resistance can be enhanced. Furthermore, by adding crosslinking agents, such as epoxy resin or metal salts, the temperature resistance, water resistance, and overall performance of white latex adhesive can be improved.
