Why is the product performance of splicing adhesive not as good as before? Is it due to deviations in the glue application process? Or other reasons? The splicing adhesive manufacturer tells you.

1. The storage requirements for splicing adhesive are very strict. For example, it is necessary to protect the storage conditions of the splicing adhesive, avoiding direct sunlight and advanced [aging]. If the storage conditions are improper, the product quality of the splicing adhesive will change, and it will naturally be difficult to achieve a satisfactory bonding effect.

2. On-site hazards.
Wood moisture content. Generally, the wood moisture content required by splicing adhesive is ≤14%. When the moisture content is greater than 16%, the adhesive dries slowly, has poor permeability, and is prone to quality accidents, such as deformation and cracking.
Active period. Splicing adhesive generally can only function at 25°C. Therefore, it must be allowed to fully exert its activity.
Installation time: Installation. If it is 25°C, installation usually takes 8-10 minutes. When the installation time is too long, the pre-dried film exceeds the normal time, affecting the penetration of the adhesive into the wood and changing the adhesion.

3. Assembly precautions.
① After applying the adhesive, assemble within 10 minutes at 25°C. If the assembly time is too long, the adhesive has already dried and will not stick.
② When assembling finger-jointed panels and back panels, processing accuracy should be ensured to avoid rebound of the press-fit gap caused by deformation of the finger-jointed panels or uneven glue processing accuracy.
③ Apply pressure to determine if the pressure is appropriate. A clicking sound will occur, and releasing pressure 3-5 seconds before is necessary.
