1. Lichao application scope
It is mainly used for manual veneer application on convex curved surfaces, irregular surface laminating, and manual veneer application processes such as veneer repair. It provides a good method specifically for furniture with curved designs, manual veneer application, and irregular edge banding, solving the problem of blistering when applying paint. This will greatly promote changes in furniture appearance design. It is suitable for cold and hot press laminating of veneers, decorative paper, etc., and is particularly suitable for the requirements of manual veneer edge banding and laminating processes. Even veneers 0.6mm thick or thicker are not restricted. As long as it is convenient to use an electric iron to heat porous materials for veneer application, this adhesive can be used.
2. Lichao technical parameters
Type: Water-based
Appearance: Milky white liquid
Viscosity: 10000-18000 CPS, Brookfield sp.3, 20 rpm, 27°C
pH value: 4-5
Solid content: 40-50%
Minimum film forming temperature: 13°C
3. Lichao usage method
A. Double-sided gluing: 1. Use a short-haired roller for double-sided gluing. Under the condition of ensuring even glue application, an application amount of 80-100 g/m² is ideal. 2. Apply glue first to the side that is not easy to absorb water (e.g., when applying veneer to MDF, apply glue to the veneer first; when applying veneer to solid wood, apply glue to the solid wood first). At 25°C, let it sit for 1-3 minutes (depending on the amount of glue applied). Touch with your hand; it should feel slightly sticky but the glue should not transfer to your hand. 3. Heat with an electric iron (temperature about 150-170°C) for 3-10 seconds. The heating time for the edges of the panel needs to be slightly longer. After pasting, check for bubbles or areas not firmly bonded. If found, iron again with the electric iron. Apply paint after 24 hours. 4. When the workplace temperature is below 13°C, close the bond immediately after gluing.
B. Single-sided gluing: 1. Use a short-haired roller for single-sided gluing, applying glue evenly. The application amount is 150-180 g/m². At 25°C, let it sit for about 45 seconds before covering with the veneer. The time depends on the amount of glue applied, the panel, and the relative humidity of the air. The principle is to ensure that the glue is easily transferred to the other substrate that has not been glued. 2. Heat with an electric iron (temperature about 150-170°C) for 10-30 seconds. 3. After pasting, check for bubbles or areas not firmly bonded. If found, iron again with the electric iron. Apply paint after 24 hours. 4. When the workplace temperature is below 13°C, close the bond immediately after gluing. Bonding conditions and effect: Wood moisture content: 6-14%
