Precautions for using Anhui splicing adhesive.
Release Date:2026-05-05 Views:0

1. The wood moisture content should be controlled to 8-15%.
2. Before splicing, the wood should be straight, smooth, and not warped.
3. Before preparing the adhesive, prepare the pressing equipment and other clean, water-free tools.
4. The ratio of adhesive to curing agent must be thoroughly mixed, and the weight should be calculated by weighing. For example, for the ratio used in a cup, you must first weigh it, then pour it into a measuring cup, and mark the position with a pen stroke. Next time, measure the ratio according to the position (because the curing agent is heavier than the adhesive by volume). The ratio is by weight, not by volume.
5. The ratio of adhesive to curing agent is 10:1.5 to 10:1.8. Use within 2 hours after mixing, but it is recommended to use it as quickly as possible, and finish within about 4 hours. During use, if bubbles are found to be normal, you can continue using it with micro bubbles. If there are too many bubbles, stir several times with a clean wooden strip, the bubbles will be soaked and can be used again.
6. The adhesive application on the panel substrate surface must be even. The speed of adhesive application, panel splicing, and pressing should be fast, otherwise the surface will cure and affect the panel splicing effect.
7. For splicing large panels, try to apply a thick layer of adhesive to prevent surface curing. The application amount is about 300g/m². After the panel is pressed, there must be adhesive flowing out on both sides. No adhesive flowing out is abnormal and prone to glue line opening.
8. After taking the adhesive or curing agent, be careful to seal the bag opening or lid properly to prevent prolonged contact with air, so as to avoid.
9. Pressure: softwood 6-10 kg/cm², hardwood 10-15 kg/cm². When pressing, the pressure should be balanced.
10. The longer the pressure release time, the better. If the pressure application time is longer, small area panels can be unloaded after 2 hours. Large area panels are recommended to be unloaded after 5 hours. However, when unloading before the next process, it must be done within about 3 hours, because in dry weather, all water-based adhesives fully cure in 24 hours.
11. After work, use tap water to clean the tools, then use clean, water-free tools when working. Prepare several sets of tools as much as possible (such as wool wash rollers and rollers).
12. If testing is needed, it is recommended to do it after three days. Testing method: Soak the spliced wood panels in tap water for 1-2 days, then take them out to dry, then test the tension and strength.
