Water-based sealing adhesive is mainly used for sealing various gift boxes, carton gluing, boxes, and packaging adhesive. Previously we shared some tips and precautions above, but there are still some problems caused by improper storage. Here, as an adhesive manufacturer with many years of experience in packaging adhesive production, we would like to share the storage precautions for water-based sealing adhesive with everyone:

1、Many printing and packaging factories experience glue line opening after using packaging adhesive to bond cartons in winter. The main reason for this is that some water-based sealing packaging adhesives have poor low temperature resistance. When the ambient temperature drops below 5°C, the sealing adhesive loses its activity. Therefore, customers should take insulation measures in their storage warehouses to prevent the adhesive from losing its activity.

2、The above talks about low temperatures in winter. Next, let's talk about high temperatures in summer. We have also had customers report that if they use adhesive with poor weather resistance, then the bonded boxes will open at the glue line quickly. This situation occurs mainly because packaging adhesive with poor weather resistance will cause its adhesive layer to soften and its strength to decrease at 50-60°C, leading to the finished product opening at the glue line.

3、Another issue is that some manufacturers have poor warehouse conditions with a damp environment. If the packaging adhesive is damaged during transportation and air escapes, the adhesive will absorb too much moisture, causing surface film formation or self-curing, which will also affect the later use effect of the adhesive. Therefore, we generally recommend that customers inspect the packaging barrels before storing them in the warehouse, and the warehouse should be well ventilated.
