Currently, for labels on many beverage bottles, seasoning bottles, beer bottles, and other daily-use bottles, manufacturers use water-based labeling adhesive for bonding. Water-based labeling adhesive is generally a vinyl acetate emulsion. If manufacturers use it improperly, issues such as false adhesion or label flying are prone to occur. Below, Anhui Lichao New Material Company introduces the usage method and precautions for labeling adhesive.
Usage method of labeling adhesive:
1、Before using the adhesive, it must be stirred evenly to prevent separation or clumping. The adhesive can bond in a moist state.
2、Application can be done either by manual hand coating or mechanical coating. If using mechanical coating, to prevent the adhesive from drying out too quickly, manufacturers can add 1-1.5% water to dilute the adhesive according to actual conditions.
3、After applying the label adhesive, it generally dries naturally. The substrate should be bonded under pressure for 15-20 minutes. The longer the conditioning time, the better the corresponding bonding effect.
4、For specific usage methods, it is recommended that manufacturers conduct corresponding adhesive tests according to their processes before use, to avoid the trouble of poor bonding results.
Precautions for storing label adhesive:
When using the adhesive for bonding, do not mix it arbitrarily with other solutions, so as not to affect the stable performance of the adhesive.
Many manufacturers neglect to seal the remaining adhesive after dispensing, leading to surface drying of the adhesive and affecting the bonding effect. Therefore, after dispensing the adhesive, the adhesive bag should be sealed promptly.
Water-based labeling adhesive is generally environmentally friendly, non-flammable, and difficult to support combustion. After use, it can be stored in a dry, cool place at a temperature of 5-30°C.
